Gretchen's Bio
I have been practicing massage since 2003 when I graduated from Cascade Institute of Massage and Body Therapies in Eugene, Oregon. Previously, my background was in French horn performance and healing from repetitive stress injuries from playing French horn was what brought me to massage. Then I had a whiplash injury from a car accident and two pelvic surgeries for ovarian cysts and endometriosis. Craniosacral and visceral manipulation were what helped me heal the most. These gentle but powerful modalities fascinated me and I was hooked! I continued on to study Craniosacral Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, Lymphatic Drainage Therapy, structural massage, osteopathic techniques, myofascial release, Dynamic Manual Interface, and energy work. Besides being passionate about learning bodywork, especially gentle bodywork that taps into the body's ability to heal itself, I love to knit and read and spend time with my family.
About My Practice
My practice is private pay. I am not a provider for any medical insurances but I will bill for PIP claims with a referral from your care provider. If you would like to access your out of network massage therapy insurance benefits, I can give you a receipt with all the necessary information for you to turn in paperwork for reimbursement according to your plan. I expect payment in full at time of service.
I have a 24 hour cancellation policy. Please respect my time and that of others who could have had your appointment time. Thank you!
